Mutual Aid for CA

Let’s Lend Californians a Helping Hand

The devastation caused by the California wildfires has left countless families and communities in urgent need of help. Black and Brown families, already facing systemic inequities, are among the hardest hit. By coming together, we can help ensure they receive the resources and support they need to rebuild.

We’re compiling resources, including fundraising efforts (shared by Nzingha Stewart), to help those who want to contribute directly to relief efforts. Every donation makes a difference in the lives of families who have lost their homes, belongings, and stability.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate Directly: Contribute to fundraising efforts for Black and Brown families impacted by the fires. Explore the comprehensive list of support links and campaigns compiled here. This resource highlights mutual aid groups, organizations, and families needing immediate assistance.

  • Amplify These Efforts: Share the spreadsheet and other resource links across your networks to increase visibility and reach.

  • Volunteer Locally: Find ways to contribute time or supplies through local relief organizations mentioned in the spreadsheet.

Why This Matters:

Mutual aid is a vital way to address gaps in traditional systems and ensure that aid reaches communities who need it most. By supporting these efforts, you’re helping rebuild lives, homes, and hope.

This moment calls for collective action and solidarity. Let’s show up for our neighbors and help rebuild lives together.
